Admittance and Services

Visiting hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 9:00 to 17:00. Free admission. Children under 13, students, teachers and senior citizens presenting a valid ID do not pay. Free admission on Sundays. There is a $30 MXP fee if you are willing to shoot with a videocamera. Guided tours, educational workshops and summer courses.


The Regional Museum of History opened in 1995, in the first public building of Ensenada, finished in 1886. The Ex Cuartel de la Compañía Fija served as military headquarters, jail, school and hospital. The history of Ensenada is represent here, from the first settlers to the 19th century. The Museum houses the Bajamar, a remarkable archaeological collection of regional findings.
