Admittance and Services

Visiting hours: Tuesday to Sunday from 10:00 to 13:00 and from 16:00 to 19:00. Admission fee $31 MXP. Children under 13, students, teachers and senior citizens presenting a valid ID do not pay. Free admission on Sundays. There is a $30 MXP fee if you are willing to shoot with a videocamera. Guided tours, bookstore.

Synopsis

Opening as Hecelchakan Camino Real Museum in 1965, this 17th century building was a gift from a private donor and used to be a residence.  The Maya culture and art, painting, sculpture and architecture, are represented here. The Jaina figures collection and the anthropomorphic pieces with articulated arms and legs are remarkable.
